Is it a Segway or an IPOD?
I remember in 2001 when Dean Kamen was leaking information about his major new invention that would transform all of our lives. He would not say what it was. For weeks, stories appeared all over the news and everyone speculated about what this might be. He did a fantastic job of creating curiosity and interest.
Then he unveiled the Segway. Cool yes; transform our lives… not so much.
After all the hype it was kind of a letdown.
This year, we cracked the code for a major innovation in the nonprofit world. For the first time, we are able to measure charitable giving in the US… as it happens. Until now, information was only available on an annual basis and could not be reported until 6 months after the year ended. Our algorithm (formula) correlates to 41 years of published giving data 99.5%! And, it is available now.
Even better, with this formula, we are now able to forecast charitable giving for the coming months with real reliability. So we created The Atlas of Giving in the United States. With it we provide monthly reports on US charitable giving and forecast what giving will be. We also closely monitor events and factors that affect charitable giving like the BP Oil Spill and the Gate-Buffett billionaire challenge. It is an incredible innovation that will help charities and churches raise more money, be more efficient with their budgets, and benchmark performance.
The trouble is… hardly anyone knows about it and understands its significance.
Steve Nill at Charity Channel is really excited about it.
“What Philanthromax has accomplished in terms of providing charitable giving data to charities in real time represents a major innovation,” said Nill. “[It] is a game-changer for nonprofits, not just in dealing with events like the oil spill, but in terms of day to day management of operations related to gift income.”
The IPOD was also launched in 2001. It has affected most of our lives and has transformed the music industry. When was the last time you saw a cassette tape or even purchased a CD?
The Atlas of Giving is more like the IPOD to the nonprofit world. The trouble is that we don’t have the kind of resources that Apple does to promote it. So, I’m asking you to help us get the word out. Go to www.philanthromax.com and check out the Atlas of Giving, standard edition. It’s free. Then, when you like what you see, tell your friends at churches and charities that they should join you as a leader in nonprofit management and efficiency.
Thanks!
